Cookie Policy

DEFINITIONS

Cookies are small text files sent from the website to the data subject’s terminal (usually the browser), where they are stored before being retransmitted to the website when the same user next visits that website. A cookie cannot draw any other data from the user’s hard drive or transmit computer viruses or gather email addresses. Each cookie is unique to the user's web browser. Certain functions of cookies may be assigned to other technologies. The term 'cookie' in this document refers to cookies, properly so called, and also to all similar technologies.

The MARCO BICEGO website uses "third party” cookies i.e. cookies related to external domains.

COOKIES USED

Our website uses the following types of cookies:

a. Technical cookies.

Technical cookies are used only to transmit a communication over an electronic communications network, or as strictly necessary for the provider of an information service which the subscriber or user specifically requests.

They are not used for additional purposes and are installed directly by the site owner. They may be divided into navigation or session cookies, which ensure that the website can be used and navigated normally (e.g. to enable a purchase or authenticate access to restricted areas); analytic cookies, similar to technical cookies when used directly by the data controller to collect information in aggregate form on the number of users and on how they visit the website; functional cookies, which enable the user to browse the website based on a pre-selected set of criteria (e.g. language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided.

b. Profiling cookies.

Profiling cookies are used to create user profiles and to send advertising messages matching the preferences expressed by the User as he/she browses the web.

The use of profiling cookies requires the data subject's consent, therefore:

- The User may authorise or refuse consent to the installation of cookies by using the options provided in the section “Management of cookies managed by Data Controller” below.

- In the case of third-party cookies, the owner does not and cannot directly control individual cookies (it can neither install them directly nor erase them). The User can, however, manage these cookies through the browser settings (the instructions are provided below), or through the websites indicated in the "Management of third-party cookies” section.
